According to official records of Facebook, they currently have to attract about 300 milion active users. Where 50% of that number using Facebook every day.

-The average user has 130 friends on Facebook.
-There are more than 45 million update the status every day.
-Eadh month, there are 2 billion photos uploaded to Facebook.
-70% of Facebook users are outside the United States.
Naturally, every new Technology, would have Positive and Negative Impacts. So also with Facebook, have a Positive and Negative Impacts as well. Here are some some Positive and Negative Impacts from Facebook based on my observation :
*Positive Impacts from Facebook:
1. Strengthen Hospitality
This probably is the usefulness of Facebook the most we can feel. Even with Facebook, we can find the back of people we have ever known in the past.
2. Knowing Potential
In Facebook, there are many useful quiz to find out more about who we really are. However, we also must be careful, because some quiz in Facebook contained in an element of prediction that is banned in Islam.
3. Media Campaign
Clearly, Facebook can be used as a media campaign, you can promoting your Product, Service, Agency, or other things. In fact, at Yesterday's legislative Elections, Some candidates are also using Facebook for the media campaign.
4. Facility discussions
OnFacebook, you can join the various communities/groups.
5. Places that you can Share and Solve Problem
Sometimes, you get a problem, then you update your status on Facebook with the problem you face, and if someone cares, he/she will leave comment on your status and help you to solve your problem.
*Negative Impacts from Facebook:
1. Our time wasted more and more - Facebook is useless for the less useful.
2. Waste of Money
If you access Facebook from your handphone, of course, It will reduce your pulse.
3. Facebook makes you lazy to study and learn something, makes you lazy to do something that you must do it.
4. Facebook continuosly, indirectly as a result, we experienced what is called 'duping'.

Virtual World, a world without boundaries, one can transformed into anybody and do anything, good or bad.
So, we can take conclusion, :
Use the new Technology as well - a good idea to do anything, good deeds, useful, and don't harm yourself or others. Do not look at Facebook only from one side, but look at it from other side.
Because, on the one side, Facebook is useful, but in other side, if we don't have a strong stance, Facebook will damage our mental, attitude, and perspective.
